Dear Neighbors,
Redevelopment and Business News
Ryan Homes officially announced ALL 49 townhomes at Stratford Commons have now been sold. Stratford has not had a new home development in over 50 years. We welcome all the new residents to Stratford.
The facelift to the Stratford Square strip stores is about complete. We are awaiting the new owners of the Bradlees space, Velocity Partners to find a tenant for their space, and begin the exterior renovations, and new parking lot area.
The interior renovations of the units at the Veterans Village on Colby Avenue are getting close to being completed. The exterior improvements such are the parking lot, and front park area still need to be completed prior to occupancy.
Creekside at Stratford, the proposed senior living facility on West Laurel Road are completing their building plans. They plan to begin construction this year. This project will include independent living units, assisted living units, and a memory care section.
Work is progressing at Rob’s Kitchen on the White Horse Pike. The parking lot was recently seal coated and striped, and the new sign has been installed. This being a small family operation, the work is progressing at their pace. We look forward to the restaurant opening.
The retail space next to TD Bank on the White Horse Pike is being renovated by the new owner. He is planning to open a restaurant.
The JLUB heard and approved the application for the new storage facility to be located at 72 Berlin Road. This three-story contemporary building will house self-storage units. Building permits are already being processed, and the construction should begin this summer, after the existing garage space is demolished and removed.
All these new projects are bringing welcomed revenue to Stratford. The building permit fees for each of these large projects help offset administrative operating costs. The main goal of these developments is to bring additional tax revenue. Council and myself welcome these developers to Stratford! Please continue to support our local businesses, without your support, they cannot continue to be part of our business community.

Proud Mayor of Stratford
