We want to thank the residents for their assistance and understanding with the start of our yard waste collection initiative.  One of the continuing issues is yard waste in plastic bags.  Yard waste cannot be in plastic bags.  We recommend you stop by Borough Hall to pick up a FREE red recycling can which you can use to place your yard waste in.  We thank those residents who are using trash cans, brown biodegradable bags, and bundling yard waste.  We will NOT be taking the bags in your regular trash collection.  If you find we have not collected your yard waste on the Monday collection day, and you and your neighbors yard waste is still on the curbside, this means there was too much yard waste to collect on Monday, and the Team will be back on Tuesday to collect the remaining yard waste stops.

We are striving to pull as much recycling materials out of the trash to help reduce the high overall fees charged to dump trash.  Every can of recycled material HELPS save Stratford money!

Please think twice before disposing of certain items.  Electronics and metal are collected EVERY Wednesday.  The plastic, paper, aluminum, and glass should be in the recycling containers.  Now yard waste is being offered to those residents who bag their grass clippings, or do a lot of gardening.

The new Trash and Recycling Team is working hard collecting every day of the week.   They are very thankful for the friendly thoughts and kindness expressed to them.
